Edelweiss to Resume Flights to Cancún
Beginning 3rd October 2020, and thus in time for the autumn holidays, Edelweiss will resume direct flight services from Zurich to Cancún on Mexico’s Yucatán peninsula. The region has received the Safe Travels stamp of approval from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
The Yucatán peninsula sits in a sub-tropical climate zone that guarantees year-round warm weather and water temperatures that rarely drop below 24 degrees Celsius. So, the best time to enjoy a beach holiday in Cancún is: any time! Edelweiss will resume a once-weekly direct flight (on Saturdays) between Zurich and Cancún beginning 3rd October 2020.

Entry requirements applicable for Cancún
Cancún/Quintana Roo has been given the Savel Travels stamp of approval by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). The stamp confirms that Cancún has adopted the WTTC’s standardised global health and hygiene protocols to ensure the health and safety of its guests and tourism sector staff. The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has removed Mexico from its list of countries deemed to have a high risk of infection. No quarantine is currently required on return to Switzerland.
Any flight timetable changes that may become necessary due to new or reintroduced entry restrictions will be communicated promptly. Edelweiss will continue to guarantee free and flexible rebooking options, so that travel can be planned worry-free.
