Expedited Process through US Security Checks 

Edelweiss, Switzerland’s leading leisure travel airline, is participating in the PreCheck programme of the US Transportation Security Administration. Registered passengers enjoy several advantages at US airports, including expedited security screening.

Edelweiss has joined the TSA PreCheck programme. For Edelweiss passengers with TSA PreCheck approval, this means they enjoy easier and quicker departures from US airports, including expedited security screening, usually with significantly shorter queues and without having to remove shoes, light jackets, belts, liquids and laptops.

Passengers with Global Entry, which allows expedited clearance when entering the US, will automatically be registered for TSA PreCheck. No separate approval is needed for children under the age of 12 if they are travelling with a parent or guardian who has TSA PreCheck.

You can register for TSA PreCheck at www.tsa.gov/precheck. After being approved (the process will also include an interview on US soil), you will receive a “known traveler number” (KTN). You will need to provide that number at every check-in. Membership costs US$ 85 and is valid for five years. TSA PreCheck is currently available at more than 200 airports across the US.

Edelweiss operates direct flights from Zurich to the following holiday destinations in the US: Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, San Diego and Tampa Bay.
