Edelweiss to suspend flights between Zurich and Havana from March 2025

  • Long-term stable and reliable long-haul operation at Havana airport difficult to ensure
  • Affected guests will be contacted to receive alternatives or a refund
  • Last flight will take place on 27 February 2025

After careful consideration, Edelweiss has decided to discontinue flights to Havana, Cuba from March 2025. The last flight from Zurich to Havana and back to Zurich will be operated on Thursday, 27 February 2025 (WK32/WK33).

The decision is based on declining demand on the one hand and the current conditions at José Martí International Airport in Havana on the other. An on-site inspection by Edelweiss has shown that it is difficult to guarantee a long-term stable and reliable long-haul operation.

Affected guests will be contacted by Edelweiss or their travel agency and either rebooked on alternative connections or receive a full refund of the ticket price upon request.

Until the flights are cancelled, Edelweiss will continue to operate regular non-stop flights from Zurich to Havana and back to Zurich on Thursdays. Edelweiss regrets the inconvenience and thanks for the understanding.
