Edelweiss to Resume Flight Services

Edelweiss will resume its flight services tomorrow, Thursday, after suspending flights for almost two months. The first flight after the easing of the coronavirus lockdown will depart at 0600 CET from Zurich to Faro (Portugal).

In keeping with the entry requirements of the airline’s destination countries, Edelweiss will steadily increase its flight services in the weeks ahead. The airline plans to operate 171 flights to 36 holiday destinations until the end of June. The first destinations to be served are in Portugal, southern Italy, Kosovo, Croatia and North Macedonia. Depending on the global situation, additional flights to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt and Spain may be added in the course of June. Edelweiss is also planning to resume regular flights to some long-haul destinations.

Details about the flights on offer are available from the booking systems of travel agencies and at flyedelweiss.com. As planning is very much contingent on the entry restrictions at the respective destinations, the airline’s flight timetable is being adjusted on an ongoing basis. To allow for worry-free travel planning nonetheless, Edelweiss will continue to guarantee free and flexible rebooking options.

With passenger health and safety as a top priority, Edelweiss’ hygiene measures and service concepts are in accordance with the recommendations of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
