Cuba has made global history. The revolutionary leaders Che Guevara and Fidel Castro are still the nation’s greatest heroes. Among other things, socialism has preserved the 1950s pizzazz of this Caribbean island state. On that note, hardly anything beats getting to know the Cuban capital of Havana in a legendary vintage convertible car: the historic city centre, the Malecón esplanade or Morro Castle, from where visitors can enjoy superb vistas. For all music lovers and dancing fans - visit one of Havana's many music clubs - the most renowned is the Buena Vista Social Club.

Varadero is the most popular seaside resort in Cuba, it is the perfect location to let the holidays come to an end. But also, the Cayo islands - Cayo Largo, Cayo Santa Maria and Cayo Coco - are highly recommended for beach holidays in Cuba. And imagine - when the sun sinks over the sea in the evening, there is hardly anything more beautiful than a glass of rum, a cigar and salsa music in the background.
