The most attractive beaches

Croatia is known for its crystal clear sea and natural bathing bays.  A lot of beaches have been rewarded with the blue flag seal of approval thanks to the high quality of the water and cleanliness. A day at the beach can be spent choosing between pebble and fine pebble beaches, rocky beaches, concreted bathing jetties and sunbathing lawns. The nearest classic sandy beach is in Medulin, 10 kilometres away.

Ambrela Beach

Ambrela Beach

The Blue Flag awarded Ambrela pebble Beach lies in the tourist zone of Verudela and is connected to the Brioni Beach. The shoreline is comfortably shallow and a lifeguard service is provided what makes the beach especially popular among families with children. Those who like it comfortable can rent sunbeds. Anyone looking for something to do on the water can rent sports equipment. If you are hungry or thirsty in between, you can get coffee, ice cream and food on a terrace above the beach.

Hawaii Beach

Havajka or Hawaii Beach is located on the Verudela peninsula. It is popular with young, sporty tourists as well as locals. The beach is easily accessible by car or bus. You can rent sunbeds or umbrellas from the on-site lifeguard and buy refreshing drinks to quench your thirst. Sports activities or restaurants are not far away. Hawaii Beach is perfect for letting your soul dangle! We recommend a visit during the week if you want to avoid a lot of hustle and bustle.

Valkane Beach

Valkane Beach

The beach is close to the Pula Hotel and the Valkane sports centre. It is partly sandy, which is particularly suitable for families with children, while elsewhere there are concrete jetties leading into the water. There are even sections that allow easier access to the sea for people with physical disabilities. There are cafés and restaurants nearby, so you can spend a whole day here nicely supplied with food and drinks. The sporty visitors can choose between a variety of sporting activities such as beach volleyball, tennis, football and many more.

Dog Beach

Uvala Sakucani

Dogs are usually not allowed on official beaches. One exception is Uvala Sakucani on Verudela. This official dog beach is very popular with holidaymakers with four-legged companions as well as local dog owners. Crystal-clear water and natural shade offer a paradise for masters and their dogs. A few steps take you down to the beach, which is lined with large rock formations. One of the rock slabs reaches far into the water and is therefore ideally suited for entry.
