Liberia is located in the northwest of Costa Rica and is the capital city of the Guanacaste province. The historic city is characterised by lush parks and whitewashed houses. It’s the optimal place from which to explore the breathtaking natural beauty in the northwest of the country.

It’s around half an hour’s drive to a variety of beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast. Swimming, surfing, snorkelling and turtle watching – there’s plenty to experience here and variety is guaranteed. The Santa Rosa, Guanacaste and Rincón de la Vieja National Parks – with their rich vegetation, awe-inspiring volcanic craters and diverse wildlife – epitomise the most beautiful parts of Costa Rica. One of the best highlights on a trip around Costa Rica is the Nicoya Peninsula, southwest of Liberia. It’s a paradise for peace seekers and nature lovers and the ideal place to relax and unwind for a few days.
