Child labour

As a globally operating company, Edelweiss is committed to identifying, minimising and preventing risks related to child labour in its own operations and along its supply chain.

Edelweiss is guided by legal requirements, international conventions and declarations such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the core labor standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the IATA resolution on combating human trafficking.

Risk management and risk analysis

Edelweiss has implemented various processes and tools to identify, minimise and prevent risks related to child labour in its own operations and along its supply chain.

Complaint procedure

In order to identify, minimise and prevent risks related to child labour as early as possible, Edelweiss relies on reports submitted via its complaint channels. Edelweiss employees and third parties such as customers or suppliers have several complaint channels at their disposal: for example, they can contact the Lufthansa Group Human Rights Office directly via an electronic whistleblower system or by means of an external ombudsperson.

Reporting

Edelweiss is included in the report of Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft in accordance with the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG). Edelweiss will publish the report here.
