The Swiss holiday airline Edelweiss celebrated its first flight to Colombia this Wednesday morning. This event was celebrated with the traditional ribbon cut at gate D43 at Zurich Airport. Together with the crew, Francisco Javier Echeverri Lara, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Switzerland, and Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss, cut the ribbon. Following the ceremony, the Edelweiss Airbus A340 took off for Colombia.
From now until the end of May, Edelweiss will be flying non-stop from Zurich to Bogotá on Wednesdays and Sundays, then on to Cartagena and back non-stop to Zurich. The flights can be booked at flyedelweiss.com and via all the usual sales channels. The first piece of sports baggage in the normal category is transported free of charge.
The two new destinations Bogotá and Cartagena are ideal for exploring this country of contrasts on an impressive round trip. In addition to an incredible number of cultural highlights, you can experience Caribbean sandy beaches, lush jungle landscapes, high mountain peaks and vibrant metropolises.
