Edelweiss Winter Timetable 2014/15
The Edelweiss 2014/15 winter timetable includes some changes in the route network. The new long-haul routes Las Vegas and Havana, introduced in the 2014 summer timetable, are highly popular destinations. As a result, they will be served with one weekly flight during the winter months as well. The number of flights to Phuket will be increased to three per week.
| The route Zurich – Las Vegas will be operated by the Airbus A330-300 with one weekly flight (Monday) during the winter months as well. |
| Furthermore, there will be weekly flights to the Caribbean, to Havana (every Thursday) and Punta Cana (every Wednesday). |
| In keeping with the summer timetable, Tampa Bay (Florida) will be served with two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Fridays. |
| The Maldives will be served with one weekly flight (every Saturday). |
| The number of flights to the popular holiday destination Phuket in Thailand will be increased to three per week, departing on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. |
| We will continue to offer two weekly flights to Cape Town (Monday and Friday). |
| Due to the strong decline in demand for flights to East Africa and the strained market environment affecting travel to Mauritius, the routes Zurich-Kilimanjaro-Mombasa and Zurich – Mauritius will no longer be included in our 2014/15 winter timetable. |
| Mauritius is still easy to reach with our affiliate SWISS via Johannesburg. The same applies to the destinations Kilimanjaro (Arusha) and Mombasa which can be reached with SWISS via Nairobi. |
| There are also some changes with respect to our short- and medium-haul destinations: the number of flights to Funchal (Madeira) and Fuerteventura will be increased to two connections per week respectively. The destinations Larnaca and Antalya will also be served with two weekly flights throughout the winter season. |
| The 2014/15 winter timetable will also include seasonal flights to Catania. |
| The flight offer to Egypt remains unchanged: as well as a weekly non-stop connection to Marsa Alam, two weekly direct flights will be operated to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada respectively. |
| The two weekly flights to Marrakesh also remain the same. |
