Can I take musical instruments as hand baggage?
Provided your musical instrument does not exceed the dimensions or weight of a standard item of hand baggage, you can take it with you without registering it first. In addition, you can take only one personal item (for example handbag, laptop bag, shoulder bag, or similar) with you. An additional seat needs to be booked for musical instrument that exceed the dimensions or weight for hand baggage. Please note: You cannot complete a special booking for an additional seat online. Book the seat for your musical instrument along with your own ticket through our service center or your respective booking agency. Please note that the dimensions of the seats and the aircraft type will determine whether it can be transported in the cabin. If your musical instrument exceeds these dimensions, you cannot take it in the cabin with you, but will have to check it in as hold baggage. Your sales office will be able to provide you with further information. The price for the additional seat is the same as for the current ticket.
Where can I register excess luggage?
