Successful agreement: Cabin crew clearly agree to new collective labor agreement CLA25

  • The members of the cabin crew union EFA have approved the new CLA25 by a large majority
  • The agreement brings long-term stability and modern working conditions for the cabin crew
  • Together with the pilots' CLA, it forms the basis for the successful development of Edelweiss

Edelweiss is delighted with the clear vote of the cabin crew: The new collective labor agreement CLA25 was accepted with a participation rate of 83.8 percent and an approval rate of 91.9 percent. The agreement comes into force on May 1, 2025 and has a minimum term of five years.

CLA25 strengthens working conditions on board and stands for a spirit of partnership. "The clear approval of the new CLA by our cabin crew means a lot to me and is a strong sign of mutual trust. Together we have drawn up a contract that creates modern working conditions and at the same time secures the future viability of Edelweiss," says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss.

Edelweiss is proud to have successfully concluded the second collective labor agreement for a large employee corps with the CLA25 – following the approval of the pilots' CLA last year.

The new Airbus A350: a next generation working environment

The two long-term contracts are groundbreaking for the future and create the basis for stability and further growth. The introduction of six modern Airbus A350s also marks the start of a new chapter for Edelweiss. This re-fleeting is a strong commitment to quality, sustainability and the aspiration to offer Edelweiss guests and crews the very best.

Edelweiss pilots and cabin crew members can look forward to one of the most modern workplaces in aviation: state-of-the-art technology, more comfort, well thought-out work areas and quiet zones - all of which create a working environment that inspires and motivates.

The growth of the long-haul fleet is creating additional demand for qualified employees in the cockpit and cabin. To address this development, Edelweiss is constantly recruiting new colleagues who will shape the future together and carry the Edelweiss experience forward.
