Zurich Airport, 16th May 2022
Edelweiss is back in Canada
Edelweiss returned to Canada on Sunday, 15 May 2022 after a gap of more than two years. Vancouver will be served weekly in May and twice weekly as of June. Calgary will also rejoin the schedule from 12 June.
After more than two years of waiting, guests looked forward to their flight to Vancouver on Sunday, 15 May 2022. Traditionally, the flight was celebrated at Zurich Airport with a so-called ribbon cut. Corinne Römer, responsible for Partnerships & Events at Edelweiss, had the honour of performing the ceremonial act together with Chantal Weinmann from Zurich Airport and the Edelweiss crew. The joy was no less great in Vancouver, where the crew was welcomed with a special poster.
Weekly flights to Vancouver and Calgary
Edelweiss will continue to fly to Vancouver every Sunday until the end of May. From June, Vancouver will be served twice a week. Calgary, the second holiday destination in Canada, will follow on 12 June. It will be flown to once a week in June and twice a week from July. With the launch of Denver on 13 June, Edelweiss' North America programme is complete for this summer.
