Part 1: Terms of booking – seat reservation, Edelweiss
A seat reservation is not a flight reservation. A seat reservation does however require a valid flight reservation.
Seat reservations are possible up to four days before departure.
The price is per seat and flight.
Children aged less than 24 months are regarded as an infant and are not entitled to a seat of their own. Adults travelling with an infant may only reserve seats which are suitable for infants. Infants for whom a child/adult fare has been purchased and who therefore travel on their own seat, are eligible for seat reservations.
Special terms of booking apply for exit seats: The following passenger category must not sit in the emergency exit row on account of security conditions stipulated by the authorities:
– Infants and children (0–16 years old)
– Unaccompanied children
– Individuals who bring along animals in the cabin
– Disabled and/or mentally handicapped individuals
– Individuals who have only restricted mobility (e.g. because of body mass, sickness, injury or for reasons of age).
When you reserve your seat you confirm that the restrictions indicated under points 4 and 5 do not apply to yourself or persons for whom you reserve seats.
If, however, the restrictions do apply, we shall be entitled to allocate a different seat to the person or persons concerned at the check-in counter or on board. In such a case there shall be no reimbursement of reservation costs.
Please pay attention to correct spelling of the first name and surname and compare them to the booking confirmation because the spelling must match.
Please advise a telephone number and an e-mail address where we can reach you, should we need to inform you of any changes.
If you change your flight, you are also responsible for changing your seat reservation. There is no charge for changing your seat if you reserve a seat at the same or a lower price on the new flight. The charges will not be refunded if you change to a different airline, if the reserved seat category is no longer available on the new flight, if you cancel your trip, have made dupe seat reservations or simply no longer wish to have a seat reservation.
If Edelweiss has to change your seat reservation, eg due to operational reasons, aircraft change, etc, Edelweiss will try to assign a new seat of equal character to you. If it is not possible to reserve a seat with the same or similar character for you, you may apply to receive a refund of the reservation charge.
The seat reservation takes place outside any other contractual agreements.
Additional fees may be charged by your credit card company. Please note that Brazilian credit cards are subject to a Brazilian government transaction fee of 6.38% when billed in a currency other than the Brazilian Real and might also go on to say “the fee in question will be included in the total billed for your purchases”.

Special services reservations are possible up to four days before departure.
The price for special services subjected to a fee, are calculated per flight segment.
Please pay attention to correct spelling of the first name and surname and compare them with the booking confirmation because the spelling must match in every case.
Please advise a telephone number and an e-mail address where we can reach you, should we need to inform you of any changes.
Fees paid are nonrefundable.
Certain special services can only be booked subject to availability on the specific flight desired.
special services can be rebooked free of charge to another flight provided the special service concerned is not yet fully booked on the new flight.
Special services bookings take place outside any other contractual agreements.

Reservation of a baby basket requires a valid seat reservation which can be requested directly from us or through your booking agent.
Baby baskets are suitable only for infants up to and including 8 months of age who may not be taller than 70 cm and weigh no more than 11kgs.
Your first sports equipment category normal (max. 23 kg) travels free of charge on all our flights. For every further piece of sports equipment category normal the additional luggage fee applies. The sports baggage may only contain the effective equipment (no additional clothing, shoes, etc.).
