Salalah: The Caribbean of the Orient - a paradise for beach holidays

If you want to experience unforgettable beach holidays, Salalah is the place for you. Whether you are travelling as a single, a couple or a family - everyone gets their money's worth here. Miles of fine sandy beaches, warm bathing temperatures all year round and a colourful underwater world live up to Salalah's nickname - the "Caribbean of the Orient".

But it's not just the coastal resorts that are worth visiting: the majestic Dhofar Mountains around Salalah are also a scenic highlight. This is where Omani frankincense, considered the best in the world, grows and thrives. This fragrant natural treasure can be purchased in the lively souks. And a successful purchase is often followed by a warm invitation to tea - a testament to Omani hospitality, which is appreciated far beyond the country's borders. If you want to experience all facets of Oman, you can easily combine Salalah and Muscat in a round trip. Whatever you decide, Oman offers a perfect blend of nature, culture and warm encounters that will have all holidaymakers in raptures.
